Dear colleagues,
I would like to thank you for supporting the proposal to initiate a working group on establishing an international soil modelling consortium within IUSS. The response has been overwhelmingly. We have received more than 100 Emails from more than 24 countries covering all continents. In addition, more than 30 people signed up at EGU in Vienna to support the initiative. This is an incredible success and I thank you for making this possible. The application has now been forwarded to IUSS. We hope to get feedback by September. I am confident that we have made a strong case. I attach for your information the final version that has been submitted.
