Re: Summer School MicroSoil 2019 - including modelling
Dear colleagues,
I want to bring to your attention a Summer School that will be held from the 10th to the 14th of June, 2019 in Saint Loup Lamairé (in France, west of Poitiers), and for which registration is still open.
You will find information about the program appended here. This Summer school is a unique opportunity to learn about the microscale analysis of soils, and in particular to master the modeling of soil processes with the Lattice Boltmann method. Valérie Pot, who has over 20 years of experience with this method, will be leading hands-on tutorials dealing with LBM.
Anyone interested in attending the Summer School should send me an e-mail with a short description of the context of his/her interest. I will then provide information on how to cover the registration fee (which is 500 euros, including transportation between Poitiers and Saint Loup Lamairé, lodging, and meals).
Best regards.
Philippe
P.S.: I had to strip the attachement of all the nice pictures I had included, so that it would be less than 100 KB... So sad, because the Château is gorgeous. Legend has it that it is where Perrault wrote his "Puss in boots" story.
Update on MicroSoil 2019 Summer School:
Thanks to an additional sponsor, we can lower the cost of the program for all particpants to 200 euros.
The deadline for manifesting interest in being part of the program is May 25.
Please feel free to e-mail me (at baveye.rpi@gmail.com) if you need any information.
Best regards.
