Vacancy: Postdoc Position, Univ of Erlangen-Nuernberg

In the group of Prof. Peter Knabner at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Erlangen-Nuernberg (Germany) there is an open postdoctoral position in the area of Numerical Methods for Multicomponent Reactive Transport Problems in Porous Media starting summer 2016. The position is connected with teaching duties
in the mathematics education of engineering students (scope 5 hours per week).

The position will end at 31/12/2017; a prolongation is possible. The salary is according to the German civil service tariff
E13 TV-L.

Candidates should have a strong background in numerical methods for partial differential equations, including experience of programming and implementation of numerical methods. The applicant is supposed to
further develop our proprietary C++ software, and to perform benchmark studies in reactive multicomponent - multiphase transport problems.
