SoPhie - Soil Hydro-Physics Data - next workshop in Gembloux - 30 Jan 2019
Dear colleagues,
The next SoPhie workshop will take place in Gembloux, Belgium on January 30th 2019.
SoPhie supports the realisation of qualified soil hydro-physics (SHP) data, highly needed in EU policy making, coming from EU-wide agreed, preferred, and innovated cost-effective laboratory- and field methods, accomplished through international collaboration
The upcoming workshop will particularly aim at facilitating benchmarking of conventional soil physical measurements between laboratories.
The specific objectives will be :
- to enlarge the network of soil physics laboratories involved in SoPhie,
- to exchange knowledge between these laboratories,
- to identify benchmarking strategies for conventional soil physical measurements.
We invite soil physics laboratory managers, teachers, researchers, doctoral students, post-doctoral students, users of classical methods or developers of new techniques to come and present their infrastructures, the routine measurements they carry out, and the research in their groups in terms of physical characterization of soils.
If you wish to participate, please register and complete the form below before November 30th, 2018. Practical details will follow in the beginning of December.
