Vacancy for tenure track position in soil chemistry at Wageningen University

The chair group Soil Chemistry and Chemical Soil Quality invites applications from candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in Soil Chemistry.

Our main research themes are:

- Soil fertility: soil chemical controls on the bioavailability of nutrients, and their coupling to biological processes, in support of sustainable nutrient management and food security

- Environmental geochemistry: identifying quality; new challenges arising from increasing recycling of materials (“circular economy”) and behaviour of emerging contaminants such as manufactured nanoparticles

- Soil characterization of soil carbon in light of its multiple roles in soil functioning  and quantifying processes that control soil- and groundwater  carbon: biogeochemical processes controlling C- sequestration and nutrient availability; analytical

The chair group is part of the Department of Environmental Sciences of Wageningen University & Research.

Additional information about the vacancy can be obtained from Prof.dr. Rob N.J. Comans, chair holder Soil Chemistry and Chemical Soil Quality, rob.comans@wur.nl. Information about the terms of employment can be obtained from Joke Cobben, HRM-advisor, joke.cobben@wur.nl.
