PhD position in microbial resource limitation and element cycling in soils

We are looking for a PhD student to investigate the co-limitation of organic matter decomposition and how it influences soil microbial processes and element cycling in ecosystems. The project will combine experimental and modelling tasks: running lab/field experiments to ultimately develop a new mechanistic model.

The PhD will be carried out at Lund University (Sweden), with several research stays at the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), and will be supervised by Prof. Jonas Ardö (INES, LU), Dr. Lettice Hicks (Biology, LU), and myself (IBED, UvA).
