ILVO Own Capital Expert modeling Soil-plant water relationships, Belgium
Do you enjoy combining experimental field work with soil and plant modeling? Do you want to contribute to a better understanding of how soil structure affects water availability for plants?
Do you find it fascinating to help explore how sustainable cultivation practices contribute to climate adaptation? Then this is the vacancy for you. deadline feb 12, 2023, see link for details

Postdoc position, University of Arizona, USA
A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available for a highly motivated and creative PhD who is interested in exploring the response of ecosystems (specifically vegetation) to climate variability. Topics of research could include: 1) reducing uncertainty in projections of global carbon, water and energy fluxes; 2) vegetation response to environmental stressors and climate extremes; 3) vegetation resilience; 4) natural climate solutions; and/or 5) land-atmosphere interactions. Additional responsibilities include the mentorship of junior scientists, publishing high impact papers, and presenting research findings at conferences and workshops. Target hire data: 5/22/2023. Postdoc hydrometeorology, Delft University of Technology, Netherlands
The 4TU programme HEat Robustness In relation To AGEing cities (HERITAGE) will develop a high-tech sensing and modelling system aiming at the detection, reduction and prevention of heat-stress associated with the ageing of the Dutch built environment. The researchers in this programme will follow a multi-disciplinary research ecosystem approach involving earth observation, urban hydro-meteorology and climatology, urban design and sustainable infrastructure energy systems.  deadline feb 28, 2023

Research Scientist in Biophysical Modeling, University of Michigan, USA
The Cooperative Institute for Great Lakes Research (CIGLR) is seeking a full-time Research Scientist. This position complements CIGLR’s ecological and biogeochemical research. Modeling approaches are incorporated into our science enterprise and are a key component of our process of research to operations, which involves hypothesis generation, fundamental science on mechanisms and interactions, model design, model parameterization, skill assessment, and translation to an information product. Deadline: March 28, 2023. See link of details
